ESOP Donation

Washington and our federal government are in a period of massive change and turbulence that could significantly impact the future of employee ownership in America.  While ESOPs maintain an unusually high level of strong bi-partisan support, major areas of public policy — especially the federal tax code — are always subject to modification.  While ESOPs are not expected to be the specific target of such changes, unless we are vigilant and highly engaged, ESOPs are at risk of becoming collateral damage as sweeping changes intended for other sectors of the economy put at risk the tax benefits designed to encourage employee ownership.  As a reminder, we don’t pay any corporate income tax which was 38% until 2018 at which point the Trump administration dropped the rate to 21%.

As proud beneficiaries of an ESOP, we understand the economic, social, and financial benefits that ESOPs offer, and we have an obligation to protect these benefits and ensure their long-term survival. In order to ensure this valuable financial tool, Freedom Industries is asking you to consider supporting The ESOP Association’s, political action committee (PAC), ESOP PAC.

The ESOP PAC is a tool where members of the employee ownership community can pool together small contributions from thousands of donors into larger donations. These donations are used to help elect and re-elect candidates to Congress who understand and promote the Employee Ownership agenda.  They allow us the opportunity to get to know our elected officials better, and for them to get to know us better.

Recognizing the importance of preserving the benefits of ESOPs, Freedom Industries has pledged to make a matching contribution to the ESOP Association’s Corporate Council Fund, a fund dedicated to supporting ESOP Advocacy.  Freedom Industries will contribute $1 to the TEA Corporate Council Fund to match every $1 contributed to the ESOP PAC by our employees.

Never before has it been more important for Freedom Industries and our community to be politically engaged and to have a voice on important issues that will potentially impact our community.  By contributing to ESOP PAC, you will support candidates for elected office who specifically support and advocate for the future of ESOPs.
