Position Summary

The Plumber is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems in industrial settings. This role requires handling plumbing systems that include copper pipe, process piping, pvc, sanitary sewer, etc. The Plumber works under the supervision of the Foreman or Superintendent and collaborates closely with other skilled tradespeople to ensure seamless installation of plumbing systems with other mechanical components.

Skills and Abilities

Ability to follow written and verbal instruction, ability to perform mathematical calculations, to diagnose and resolve problems and to use hand and power tools

Experience/Education/Other Requirements

  • Trade License is a plus
  • Industrial Construction experience
  • Mechanical skills and skills with copper pipes
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and/or engineer design drawings
  • Inspect work sites for obstructions and to ensure that work will not cause structural weakness
  • Lay out & install full scale drawings of pipe systems, supports, and related equipment, following blueprints

  • Follow all safety requirements on job sites per policy and customer requirements
  • Frequently (up to 66% of time)
    • Drive vehicle
    • May or may not work in harsh environments (hot/cold temperatures, outdoor, etc.)
    • Bend/Twist/Repetitive movement/Squat and/or Climb steps/stairs/ladders
    • Lift >50lbs – from floor to above shoulders
